The Swiss Associate Professor of oboe Emanuel Abbühl teaches at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim as well at the Basel Academy of Music.
He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician with the London Symphony Orchestra, Rotterdam’s Philharmonic Orkest, St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Philharmonic, I Musici, Amsterdam Sinfonietta and at Music festivals such as Salzburg, Tanglewood, Istanbul, St.Petersburg, Edinburgh, Seoul Arts Center und Mexico City, playing under conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, A. Jordan and Witold Lutoslawski.
Der Schweizer Oboist Emanuel Abbühl ist Professor an der Staatlichen Musikhochschule Mannheim sowie an der Musikakademie Basel.
